HAPPY that i found lovely shop

    I always believe that life is full of suurprises - the good ones. As what happened yesterday, when i accidentally came across an little exotic shop at the very corner of the street , i believed that there would be thousands of people passing this shop everyday,but few people could notice it, because it looks no different from the appearance.but you can't believe that how excited i'm when i came into and loved this shop, if you step in a little further, you will find a wonderful place just like alice ,who suddenly slipped into fairy land. The shop is not big , it's looks old but not old-fashion ,it's full of fantastic treasures collectd from all over the world .Wood sculpture from the remote villages in South Africa, original canoe from the Maoris,glittering headwear made by russian handcrafter, beautiful antique porcelain from china , everything seems like perfect, i don't want to buy it coz i don't want to appreciated by myself , i think it will appreciated by more people. All in all , i love this little and cute shop, it's bring me a lot of inspiration . I love this momment when things from all over the world get together before me

  When i read the novel "Generals die in bed "  i feel struggles between fact and fiction.  War is a thousand thundering orderlies. War describes a lie. There are differences between appearance and reality; it includes the soldier’s change of character, people’s view on the war; and what a soldiers expects and what actually happens.

Generals after soldiers survive from the war; people would consider brave and honored heroes. However, the war changes soldiers into the kind of people who own some terrible qualities. The reason for this is soldiers are innocent when the war started. They are afraid of kill people. Because there are many strict regulations in the armed forces, the soldiers had to obey the regulations to kill the enemy. Due to them lost their innocence. Then， when the fry’s leg was injured in the war , the narrator pass fry ,fry entwines narrator legs with his hands. Fry said “save me, do not leave me here alone” (Harrison ). But the narrator did not save him. This proves that they began to be selfish. Therefore, perhaps people think the soldiers were real heroes, In fact they are like ordinary people , they went to French girl got fun .

It is believed that the war is beneficial to the country and the people, But in fact not only in case, there are also other reasons. Firstly of all, it is hoped that the continuing war. They want to get more benefits, because they know that the soldiers buy them something. “The thought of people benefiting from our misery throws us into a melancholy silence” (Harrison 122) this is a big difference. Then, at the end of the novel “God- seems like only their bloody predicates is Huns—their officers is” the soldier angry because general lied to them. Let them kill soldiers who have surrendered. Later, in the eye of the people, the war can let the soldiers received many honors. In fact, this is not case “Generals die in bed” this topic shows the difference between the two classes .generals die in a warm safe bed while solders die in the harsh trenches of the battle field. The generals tell soldiers what to do and punish them, because of trivial reasons; there is nothing that soldiers can do because they are of a lower class.

In the war, there is a huge difference between what a expects and what actually happens. For example, when the narrator imagines “an action”, he pictures himself holding a Lewis gun and “spurting darts of home” ,which would make him feel “ elated” however , when the attack actually happens , he throws himself on the ground and even tries “to borrow” . In other words, he is not excites, but “terrified” and actually incapable of any action at all. They are guided by a basic instinct to save humans. Before the war, he did not expect the battlefield environment is so bad. However, they often have a lot of trouble. “I hear him slither into a water-filled hole. It has a green scum on it .Brown and I fish him out.” (Harrison 20) there have many lice. The lice are not easy to be eliminated. In addition, there have many dead bodies, the environment is very dirty and they really can not it. Finally, “we look without resentment towards the woods. We are animated only by a biting hunger for safety.” (Harrison 47) obviously, this shows that the soldiers usually suffer hungry and do not have enough food. This evidence shows difference between what a expects and what actually happens. 

In conclusion, the soldier’s change of character, people’s view on the war; and what a soldier expects and what actually happens. These points have differences between fact and fiction.
